I've used many different hosting companies so I can say with confidence that Parcom is a step above the rest.  I joined because the pricing was right but I've enjoyed the flexibility of scripting options and the control I have over my websites and databases so much that I even purchased a second account with them.

As if that isn't already enough reason to stick with Parcom, I also find comfort every time I log into my domains and see that the servers they reside on have been lovingly named 'SPOCK' and 'SOLO.'  A naming convention that suggests to me that these servers are cared for by real people in the same manner that I care about my websites and not just as a business.

Parcom rocks. I recently had a time "crunch" with a client, with problems moving the DNS and MX info, but the site couldn't have any down time. Parcom really stepped up and helped me out, bigtime. I got individual attention, fast and knowledgeable replies to my e-mails, and support even took a few extra steps to help out, which they didn't have to do. They also helped me out with info concerning how to complete the transfer and the setup I needed. They completely kept the site from having any issues at all- the transfer went smooth, and the site was all set up and ready to go before the transaction even went thru. Seamless. Once again we've turned to you for web hosting, and we're glad to now have 2 sites hosted at Parcom.
I sure hope you publish this, because I want to tell all your customers what happened some months ago. We set up a site with Parcom, but it never got off the ground. We never put up a page or one character of HTML. It sat empty for a whole month.
Along comes Parcom, asking us if we were going to use it, and if not they would refund us the money for it (we'd prepaid for a year). Well, we totally forgot about it... and we got a refund anyway. No further communication except for a polite note informing us of the refund. Now THAT'S customer service.
Dave Parmelee and Co. are just the greatest there is. If you can get cheaper hosting, you'd be better off not getting it! Trust me, I know. There's no substitute for conscientious and professional service, at any price! Dave, congrats for keeping Parcom a friendly and efficient partner in web hosting. You're a role model for the industry.

I have been ripped off before by a hosting company that changed their terms of service because they didn't want to deal with the hassle of Windows 2000 hosting.
Parcom, on the other hand, is a delight to deal with. Their rates are very competitive, and they have all the hosting options you need. But it is their service that makes them stand out from all the rest. First of all, they are in the United States and are members of the Better Business Bureau. I've found the Parcom service to be brilliant, with all of the main elements of a website covered (e.g.. programming ASP, HTML, Front Page Extensions etc.) The Customer Support Team have been a real strength and very helpful to me throughout, sorting out all of my technical support requests very quickly and efficiently within a day of them being sent. One afternoon I opened my web site window to find GARBAGE! It appeared that my site had been illegally accessed and someone had uploaded files to replace mine! I immediately entered a change password request stating the problem. I was amazed by the lightening fast response to my request. Where do I begin? I ran into problems with my hosting service almost from the beginning. Soon after signing up with them, they changed their name and moved to a new location with bigger and better servers and blah, blah, blah. I figured there'd be some problems with the switch and gave them plenty of time to work out any bugs. But then the problems began and it only went down from there. Needless to say, I was NOT satisfied with my hosting service and spent several days researching a replacement for them. I had it narrowed down to three by about 3 AM on a Saturday morning. One problem I had was browser incompatibility for my browser of choice. The final determination would be whether or not the forms and services at those sites were compatible with it. I emailed all three not expecting to hear anything from any of them until the following Tuesday (Monday was a federal holiday). Imagine my surprise when I got a reply from Parcom on a Saturday morning. And not just a tech person nor even an automatic reply, but
But that doesn't end the problem! Now comes time to transfer my domain and domain registrar and I hit some real snags. Email to the old hosting service and registrar gets returned as undeliverable, trouble tickets submitted through tech support are ignored and the phone number is out of service. I am totally unable to do anything to move my site to Parcom's servers. Not expecting them to be able to do anything under the circumstances, I contacted sales at Parcom. They forwarded my email to support and shortly I had a helpful email from support on what I could do.
The process is not complete yet but that doesn't change the fact that Parcom has given more help than I'd come to expect from any company's customer service. And, in my opinion, they have gone above and beyond what one could normally expect in this day and age! Kudos to them all.
In case you haven't figured it out, I would recommend this service to anyone who asks. And once my webpage is back up and running, I will be adding a Parcom banner or button to my site!

I originally came to Parcom looking to set up a small personal site (to give my Mom something to look at) while I worked on my reseller business plan. By the time I set up that site, I realized that Parcom is everything I ever wanted and everything I'll ever need for both business and personal needs.
As a obsessive tweaker, I needed the freedom to bring my own scripts and so forth. I'm a control freak. Parcom's hands-off approach is perfect for me, and yet I know that excellent customer service awaits me should I find myself needing it.
The easy sign-up process is perfect for any VAR to quickly and painlessly set up new accounts. I currently use a separate registrar due to pricing considerations, but I have a feeling that many customers would pay the price difference for registration through Parcom/NS due to the fact that I can set up their site about a week faster that way.

It took me almost a month to look at most of the hosting companies and decide. Parcom had everything I was looking for (and a bit more!), but the price was surprisingly low, so I had some doubts. I decided to give it a try and I was AMAZED! Their service is extremely reliable and stable and their support is OUTSTANDING.
I consider myself a difficult customer, since I always want to try out the wierd stuff that customer support usually doesn't even know can be done, or don't want to have to deal with. I've had more help than I could ever imagine coming from true professionals. Not only did support go out of their way to help me out, but it felt like they, too, were curious/excited to try things out and help me succeed! Not to mention that their replies were almost instant (do these guys ever sleep?) I would recommend this service without hesitation!

I am a member of a small cover band, Scarlet Fire. I designed and managed our humble website on which we posted upcoming dates, recent setlists, and links to sites that the folks who come see us would find useful. On a Monday night I found that our old server went into"cyberland" -- gone, nowhere, nada.
We had registered a domain, but had not really put any effort into moving the site there due to inexperience on our part. I pulled one all-nighter doing price and service comparisons of various hosts. I am a novice at this kind of thing. I found Parcom, and picked them because they were partnered w/Network Solutions, where our domain was registered. Also, the price was right, as were the services offered.
Following the *excellent* directions at the Parcom site, I managed to transfer the domain and get a site back up using FrontPage 2000 by Thursday of that week -- four days! Two of the days were spent in account verification; the other two days were due to my own learning curve. Unbelievable!
Our fans are much happier with the new site. I am happy to be able to manage our mailing list through the site. The reliability has been great, and customer support is wonderful. I have already recommended Parcom to two other organizations looking for a home.
